About Me.
@ 2008-06-10 – 11:56:23

My name is Grace Nichols, and i am 58 years old. I enjoy writing multi-cultural poems and was originally born in Georgetown, Guyana.
My love for the Caribbean inspired me to write many different poems, my favourite poem of all is 'Island Man' because the contrast is between busy England and calm Guyana.
When I lived in Guyana I was a teacher and journalist until I moved to Britain in 1977, when I began writing my poems.
I am married to John Agard and we live by Brighton and have two beautiful daughters called Kalera & Lesley; and Lesley also writes.
